Children’s lunch boxes can be a nightmare for some parents.

Here are some suggestions we have found the children at CNS enjoy in their lunch boxes ;

  • wraps
  • crackers
  • breadsticks
  • humous and dips
  • yoghurts
  • cucumber and carrot sticks
  • 1 slice of bread sandwich – maybe cutting the sarnies into a fun shape with a cookie cutter !
  • small cake /biscuit
  • half a bag of crisps

Remember sometimes portion size can make a difference …

Children’s tummy’s are the size of their fists so do not put too much in their lunch box as it can overwhelm them or put them off.

Most importantly cut any grapes and mini sausages vertically to avoid choking . If in doubt leave them out !
